Chapter 9

Later that night. I was out on the porch. With my black leather note with my name on it, that Sidney go me in high school.  I wrote down.

I saw him today. Someone that I thought I would never see. Sidney. I would be lying if I said some feeling didn't come back. We did leave thing kinda bad, back when. And he looked great! He was so grown up, very manly.......

"Collins." I looked up. Dad sat down beside me.
"Hi." I said
"I was talking to Sara, and she said you saw Sidney today."
"Oh yeah, I did."
"How's he doing?"
"He's doing good."
"Umm, are you okay?"
"Yeah, dad I'm fine, he a friend from High School." I said
"I know you li--"
"Dad, I was in high school. He was just a friend." I said
"Okay." He said, I looked at down.
"But dad there is something I've been wanting to tell you."
"Yeah."
"I'm gonna move out."
"What? Why?"
"Dad, I'm twenty five years old. It's time."
"But-"

"I can take care of myself."
“Collins, i don’t know”
“i’m moving, i’m gonna fine, and i’m not going far away.” I said
“okay, you're right, you're grown up”
“i am.” i smiled
“i’ll help you look, for an apartment." he said
“thank you.” i said
“you’re welcome, sweetie” he hugged me. he went back in the house. I took a breath, and look out into the neighborhood. Then made my way inside, and went to bed.

The whole week I couldn't stop thinking about Sidney, and It was driving me nuts. I couldn't stop I thought about the good times the winter dance, going to watch him play hockey. The kiss, and then the bad him telling he couldn't be with me. I'm not gonna lie he hurt me, that hurt, and it made me angry too. It also makes me angry that I can't stop thinking about him. We went a looked at a few apartments. There was one that I really really likes it was very modern, but there was still a lot I could do with it. I put down an offer, I was just waiting to hear back from them. I grabbed my iPod, and headphones, and went outside. I love it outside, I just like the fresh air. I could sit outside all day. I put my headphones in. I looked at up. I seen a silver range rover pull in front of our house. I seen Sid walk around the car. I took out my head phones.
"Collins." He said
"Hi, hi umm how'd you know where we moved to?" I asked
"I guess our dad still see each other around."
"Oh."
"Yeah."  He walked up on the porch.
"Umm what are you doing here?"
"Oh okay, ahhh."
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say it like that."
"I get it."
"I just we haven't seen each other in seven years." I said
"It's weird." He said
"Yes." I looked at him.
"It was really nice seeing you "
"Sit down." I said . He sat down. "It was really nice to see you too."  He nodded.
"Umm do you want to get some lunch, and catch up?"
"I...I don't know."
"Come on. Just two friends having lunch catching up."
"Sidney."
"Please."
"You have a girlfriend."
"So? Brooke's not gonna care, we're just catching up." I looked at him.
“Okay” i said
“great, how about tomorrow, Do you work?”
“umm yeah, how about at like 12:30?”
“yeah, thats good, want me to pick you up?”
“Sure”
“okay, 12:30” he stood up.
“yeah” i said, i told him where i worked. he left i watched him get in the his car. “what i’m I doing?” I asked myself.
